Instructions for Lab 1

1. Download the lab1.html file that was used in quiz section and make sure you are comfortable completing the exercises in that file (marked in blue font).



2. Download the aplia.lab1.R file

This file contains the commands you will need to complete the lab assignment.  It should be associated with RStudio (by the .R extension), so if you double-click it, it should automatically open up in RStudio.



3. Run the commands in the aplia.lab1.R file in RStudio

It is *strongly recommended* that you run the commands line by line, taking a look at the objects that are created by each command to understand what each line does.

The output from these commands will provide you with the results you need for the aplia assignment.



4. Login to aplia and enter the results from the .R file into the lab1 assignment.
