Our main themes this quarter will be:
(1) Fast automatic image analysis (Byers, Stanford, Forbes)
(2) Inference for mechanistic models used in environmental assessment
(Poole, Bates). This also ties in with the NCRSE Workshop on November 21-22.
Date | Speaker | Topic |

October 31 | Simon Byers | A cautionary reminder regarding automation and EDA in data analysis: Two clustering examples, two spatial |
November 7 | Derek Stanford | (1) The COBRA dataset (2) Recent results in fast automatic feature recognition in images |
November 14 | David Poole | The Bayesian synthesis method for mechanistic models: Recent results |
November 21 | NO MEETING | (NCRSE Workshop on Combining Information From Programs That Monitor Ecological and Natural Resources) |
December 5 | Sam Bates | Assessing uncertainty and variability in environmental risk assessment models |
