Looking ahead to Spring Quarter - Theme: Bayesian Model Selection

Professor Guido Consonni from the University of Pavia will be visiting, and the group will also be joined by David Madigan. Speakers will also include Chris Volinsky, Carl Barden and Adrian Raftery

The theme for the quarter will be Bayesian model selection, with an emphasis on Bayes factors and Bayesian model averaging. This is an active area at present, and will be the subject of a special invited joint IMS/WNAR session at the IMS/WNAR meeting (June 23-26 in Pullman, Washington), and of several invited and special contributed sessions at the ASA meeting (August 4-8, Chicago).
