This NIH grant was first funded in 1991, and was renewed through 4 cycles of competing renewal. In 2003 and 2007, it received review scores at the 0.6 and 0.5 top percentile, respectively. In 2008, it was converted by NIGMS to an NIH R-37 MERIT Award. An ARRA Supplement was awarded in September 2009, for the period 2009-2011. Research is housed primarily in the Department of Statistics, although the component directed by Dr. Ellen Wijsman is located in other UW research space.
